Hilary Duff was spotted in Beverly Hills, doing some shopping with her mother Susan (walking behind her) over the weekend. The pair hit Hollywood boutiques Alessi and Maxfield's and left with bags full of merchandise. Hilary was dressed to kill as she sported a short black dress, knee-high boots (which appear to be the must-have wardrobe item in a star's closet this season) and green scarf and toting a silver Louis Vuitton handbag.

Hilary could shop from her choice of expensive boutiques as she is one of Forbes magazine's "20 Richest Stars Under 25." She's on the list at number seven, making more than Carrie Underwood, Lindsay Lohan and even Miley Cyrus (the two both got their starts working with Disney.) Shop away Hilary, but make sure you tuck some money away for a rainy day!

Shanna Moakler, former Miss USA and wife of Blink 182 rocker Travis Barker needs your help. The beauty, seen here shopping on LA's Robertson Street (she stopped in the Kitson boutique) posted a poll on her MySpace page asking fans to help her name her cat, a hairless Sphynx. The choices are Fluffy, Botox, Jinx (from "Meet the Parents"), Yoda (my personal favorite) or Isis. Who needs a baby naming book when you have MySpace friends?

The former beauty queen is keeping busy. She will be judging the mother-daughter beauty pageant competition/reality show "Crowned," debuting on the CW this Wednesday. She's also making sure to spend plenty of time with hubby Travis. make sure you get him something nice this Christmas, Shanna!

Starlet Lindsay Lohan was spotted leaving a party at chic Beverly Hills salon Byron Williams (where she is a regular) with a mystery man. Has Lindsay found love again, so soon after splitting from former boyfriend Riley Giles?  Nope, the man is Lindsay's long-time friend Patrick Aufdenkamp. As far as Lindsay's love life goes, OK magazine reports that the actress is still very close with snowboarder Riley. The two still hang out on occasion and call and text each other quite often. Riley was reported to have broken up with Lindsay because he couldn't handle all of the publicity that constantly followed the actress.

Will Lindsay ever find true love? It's probably a better thing that she fly solo for a while. If she can stay away from any  drama, she won't need to go back to rehab anytime soon.

Actress Fran Drescher made an appearance at famed LA restaurant Mr. Chow over the weekend. The former "nanny" star and cancer survivor looked radiant in a casual patterned sweater and black pants. the comic actress has been missing from the small screen since her latest project, the sitcom "Living with Fran" went off the air earlier this year.

Fran was dining with friends, among them was the TLC network's "Take Home Chef," Curtis Stone. I had never heard of it, but after doing a little Googling, found out that the show's premise is that Curtis approaches women in the grocery store and convinces them to take him home so they can together cook up a perfect meal for the woman's partner or guest. After too many nights of frozen pizzas and Lean Cuisines, I'd sure love to take him home!

Hilary Swank dazzled on the red carpet at the LA premiere of her latest movie, "P.S. I Love You" at historic Grauman's Chinese Theater last night. Despite the presence of hunky co-stars Gerard Butler and Harry Connick Jr. as well as lovely Lisa Kudrow and Gina Gershon, Swank was the star attraction in a striking black strapless dress with ruffled accents and a mermaid skirt, complete with train. Her new short 'do (courtesy of Oprah, during last month's "Great American Haircut" for charity) evoked the glamorous actresses of the Golden Age of Hollywood.

The romantic comedy, which also has its share of tears, opens in theaters on December 21. After cozying up to Gerard Butler (an envious position indeed), Hilary's next project is the vampire thriller "Fangland."  That's going from one extreme to the other, isn't it?

Kevin Federline, Britney Spears' ex and father to sons Jayden James and Sean Preston took a night off from "Daddy duty" to party in West Hollywood last night. He and some friends attended a Christmas party for Bloc, a talent agency for dancers and choreographers, at Busby's sports bar. The wannabe rapper played pool and downed shots of tequila, provided by the bar.  He tipped generously and left in the wee hours of the morning in a yellow Lamborghini (he, unlike his ex-wife, didn't drive.)

Who would have thought that a man once thought of as the country's big joke (but admit it, "PopoZao" is still kind of ridiculous) would turn out to be a good parent? The boys sure do seem to be better off with Kevin - at the moment.

Tori Spelling and hubby Dean McDermott take their son, Liam for his first visit with Santa. The family was spotted at Beverly Hills' Grove mall, where Liam met the big guy in the red suit at Santa's Grotto. Christmas is a special time of year for this family, as Daddy Dean proposed to Tori on Christmas Eve of 2005. What does an eight-month old ask for from Santa anyway? Guess it's just good to develop a rapport with the jolly gift-giver as early as possible!
 
The former "90210" actress has a new gig - she has signed on to be a spokesperson for weight loss company Nutri-System. It sure doesn't look like she needs it, especially since she dropped her baby weight so quickly - maybe she needs to learn to melt away the pounds a bit more responsibly, perhaps?

British beauty Kate Beckinsale and her husband Les Wiseman headed out for a holiday shopping excursion in Los Angeles yesterday. The pair made stops at Target and Toys R' Us and left both stores with overflowing carts. Those full carts certainly bode well for Kate's daughter, 8-year-old Lily (whose father is Welsh actor Michael Sheen, who co-stared in "Underworld" with Kate.) Wonder if Kate picked up any of her "Underworld" action figures as gifts?

See? Celebrities shop at Target, just like you and I do! Of course, we're not dolled up in designer duds like the well-dressed actress. Sporting a short black skirt, tights and knee-high boots, Kate looks more suited for a jaunt down Rodeo Drive than for rummaging through the dollar bins (my favorite!) at Target!

Katie Holmes was seen shopping at the Grove in Beverly Hills and made off with a doll from the American Girl Place store. No, wait, that's Suri! Clad in a cute, seasonal red dress and white tights, Suri was a cute as a doll. Mom Katie, also looking cute with her matching haircut and dressed in a chic beige jacket and dark pants, emerged from the Grove with bunches of bags from Pottery Barn Kids and Crate and Barrel. It looks like Suri's going to have a good Christmas!

"Will and Grace" star Eric McCormack was spotted at The Grove in Beverly Hills with wife Janet and friends doing a little seasonal shopping. Shopping is hard work, especially at Christmas time, so Eric took a break and enjoyed a ride on a double-decker bus around the center with Janet. The still dashing actor has laid low since the curtain rang down on his hit sitcom, he's been concentrating on his charity work, recently appearing at a benefit (in his native Toronto, Canada) for Gilda's Club, a cancer support organization started by late comedienne Gilda Radner. Eric's good heart ensures that he won't be getting coal in his stocking!
