Last nights 80th Academy Awards belonged to Joel and Ethan Coen, as
their film "No Country for Old Men" took honors for best picture, best
director, best adapted screenplay and a best supporting actor for
Javier Bardem's role as a malevolent executioner. The ceremony, hosted
by Jon Stewart in his second go-round as emcee, clocked in at 3 hours
and 20 minutes and treated audiences to a few surprise victories,
including best supporting actress winner Tilda Swinton, for her role as
an evil attorney in "Michael Clayton" and "Juno" scribe Diablo Cody
picking up the best original screenplay award. Best actress honors went
to French actress Marion Cotillard for her portrayal of legendary
singer Edith Piaf in "La Vie En Rose" and the year's best actor award
went to Daniel Day Lewis for "There Will Be Blood," ensuring a new
batch of "milkshake" jokes today!
