The radiant redhead begins production on her latest project, the supernatural horror flick "Shelter," co-starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers next month in Pittsburgh. Julianne must be in her "scary movie" phase of her career, she'll be on the big screen next in August with the thriller "Blindness," where she takes on the role of the wife of an ophthalmologist, played by Mark Ruffalo, in a town struck by a sightless epidemic. Handsome British actor Hugh Dancy, who recently starred in "The Jane Austen Book Club," took a walk around the New York's Greenwich Village yesterday after a lengthy workout at a local gym. Hugh, who is currently dating Claire Danes, is in the Big Apple working on his new movie "Confessions of a Shopaholic," the film adaptation of the popular chick-lit novel by Sophie Kinsella, co-starring Isla Fisher. Hugh spends lots of time at the gym with Claire, but not all of it is spent pumping iron. OK! magazine recently reported that the actor entertained his girlfriend with an impromptu dance routine to Rihanna's hit single "Umbrella." According to the mag, Hugh "pretended to hold an umbrella, kind of like Mary Poppins" and then went back to his workout - with 2-pound weights. Two pounds? No wonder he spends such a long time there!

The family comedy, which co-stars the lovely Keri Russell, tells the tale of a man whose life changes when the lavish bedtime stories he tells his nephews start to magically come true. The Disney-produced flick will be in theaters on Christmas Day, giving bored teenagers something to do after they open their presents. MTV's newest reality star Domenico Nesci, who competed on "A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila" for the heart of the MySpace sensation, spent his Tuesday frolicking in the sun on a Santa Monica beach. The man known to MTV audiences as "Little Italy" doesn't look too upset that he missed his shot with Tila - as well he shouldn't. Domenico is soon to be the star of his own dating show on MTV, entitled "That's Amore" - if you can't remember the name, it's conveniently printed on Domenico's swimsuit! On the new series, making its debut on March 2, 15 women will vie for the affections of this Italian stallion by engaging in such challenges as pillow fights and spaghetti wrestling. Academy Award winning actress Marlee Matlin was in a great mood, joking and laughing with photographers as she took a stroll following lunch at popular LA eatery Joan's on Third yesterday. The profoundly deaf actress, who has had supporting roles on "The West Wing," "My Name is Earl" and "The L Word" has just been unveiled as one of the contestants on the forthcoming series of the hit ABC reality show "Dancing with the Stars," partnered with Fabian Sanchez, 2006's World Mambo Champ. In an email to the New York Post, Marlee explained how she would be able to dance in the competition without actually being able to hear the music. The actress, who wears powerful digital hearing aids, says “it’s about that rhythm I have inside me. I’ve got groove because my heart beats just like everyone else’s. The trick for me is to use what I’ve got to sync up with the music that comes through my dance partner’s moves." We'll find out if Marlee has the music in her when the new season debuts on March 17.

Elton John's still standing as he returned to his Beverly Hills hotel yesterday after a day of shopping in West Hollywood with his husband, David Furnish. Elton was in LA to host his 16th annual Oscar viewing dinner and post-ceremony bash. With Vanity Fair not throwing their post-Oscar party third year, Elton's shin-dig was the place to be and his guests included Ellen Degeneres, Portia de Rossi and award winners Marion Cotillard, Diablo Cody and the Coen brothers. For the first time, Elton took to the stage at the party and entertained the crowd of 750 guests with a set of some of his greatest hits, including 'Rocket Man' and 'Tiny Dancer.' In addition to work on a new studio album, taking her alter ego to the big screen in the upcoming "Hannah Montana Movie" and beginning work on the third season of the hit Disney television series, Miley and dad Billy Ray Cyrus have been tapped to host and perform at the CMT Awards in Nashville on April 14. Is Hannah Montana going country? I know it's in her blood, but will the pop princess try to seriously move in on Carrie Underwood's territory?

A scruffy-looking Rick Salomon, clad in a t-shirt and sweatpants, heads to LA hotspot Villa Lounge last night, days after wife Pamela Anderson filed to annul their brief but tumultuous union. The Associated Press reports that the "Baywatch" beauty is seeking an annulment, rather than a divorce, from her third husband Rick based on fraud. Pam filed court papers in LA on Friday asking the court not to award spousal support to Rick and to keep the splitting pair's income and property separate. On Monday, Pam filed a request to have a retired judge handle the annulment proceedings, which keeps the sordid matter private and out of the courts. Gee, Rick certainly looks happy for a guy whose marriage is ending!

Audiences will see a new side of Jennifer - the funny one - in the upcoming comedy "He's Just Not That Into You," a film adaptation of the best-selling book by Greg Behrendt, which co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Justin Long and Drew Barrymore, who also serves as the film's producer. Jennifer is keeping herself quite busy these days, she's currently shooting the remake of the 1951 classic sci-fi film "The Day the Earth Stood Still" with Keanu Reeves and is lending her voice to the animated post-apocalyptic nightmare "9" with Elijah Wood.
