Anne Hathaway tried to hide under an umbrella on the New York set of
her latest comedy "Bride Wars' where she plays a woman who foolishly
plans her wedding on the same day as her BFF, played by Kate Hudson,
wants to walk down the aisle.
Anne is hoping to have a big box office summer, with her portrayal of Agent 99 alongside Steve Carell in the comic spy blockbuster 'Get Smart'.
However, she could have had a big summer last year if she had taken the part originally offered to her in 2007's biggest summer hit.
According to Katherine Heigl, Anne was director Judd Apatow's first choice to play the lead in 'Knocked Up.' Fortunately for Kat, Anne found the birth scene a little to 'radical' and passed on the part.
Thanks Anne, we may not have had to suffer through '27 Dresses' if you had just sucked it up.
