Charlize Theron Is My Hero

Charlize Theron tried to keep a low profile as she headed out of a New York hotel on Friday. The actress is in the Big Apple making the promotional rounds for her new movie 'Sleepwalking.'

In the drama, which Charlize also produced, she plays a different kind of 'Monster' - a mom who leaves her 11-year-old daughter in the care of her brother while she embarks on a fleeting relationship with one of a series of constantly-changing boyfriends.

One of the stops Charlize made was to MTV, where she was asked what she thought of 'The Hills'. The 32-year-old actress replied, 'I do not know what 'The Hills' are. Oh, now you're going to make me look like the old fart. God, you're a mother----er! Unbelievable! You're supposed to make me look like the cool movie star! Come on! Get with it! What is 'The Hills'?'

Oh, bless your beautiful heart, Charlize. It's so nice to know that not everyone watches that 'reality' show.

Charlize also ups her 'cool factor' in my book by revealing to MTV in the same interview that she was up for the role of Nomi in my favorite guilty pleasure, 'Showgirls.' Can you imagine how different that movie would have looked with Charlize instead of Elizabeth Berkeley?
