Christina Ricci, who stocked up on groceries in her Los Feliz
neighborhood on Tuesday, seems to have been bitten by the action film
bug.
The star of such recent oddities such as 'Penelope' and 'Black Snake Moan' makes her action film debut in the big-screen translation of the cult classic 60s cartoon 'Speed Racer'. Ricci pays Trixie, the ass-kicking girlfriend of the title character, played by Emile Hirsch.
Christina was excited to take part in all of the on-screen activities, including racing, kung-fu fighting and even helicopter flying, wearing, as she was more than happy to point out, 'pink lipstick that matches my shirt.'
But the petite, 5'1" starlet seems to know her limits, conceding that, 'I’m probably too small to be a reasonable action star. But I can be a spy, because it’s good to be small if you’re a spy. Because I can fit into small spaces.'
I can see it now -- Christina Ricci as 0.007.
