David Beckham Assures U.S. He's Got Game

Soccer star David Beckham crossed the pond to play his 100th game for England's national soccer squad in an exhibition match against France. David's wife Victoria and his kids made the trek with their father, who, despite his best efforts didn't help his team defeat the French, losing 1-0.

David's match was a good warm up for his return to the LA Galaxy for a second season. The sexy import assured US soccer fans (all 10 of them) that he's ready to play, free from the injuries that plagued him last season.

Said David, 'Touch wood, the ankle's good, the knee's good. I'm definitely prepared physically and mentally, and definitely ready for the upcoming season.'

Heh, heh. He said 'wood.' Something about that quote made me a little tingly.
