Actor/author Ethan Hawke was on location yesterday in the streets of
Soho, shooting scenes for the new anthology film 'New York, I Love You'
with co-star Maggie Q. Ethan's segment is being helmed by
actor/director Yvan Attal ('Rush Hour 3').
The actor's got much love for New York (not the 'Flavor of Love' reject, the city) but his heart's not full of affection for ex-wife Uma Thurman.
According to New York magazine, Ethan grabbed his guitar and performed an impromptu set in between plays at the '24 Hours of Plays' at NYC's Atlantic Theater on Monday. He introduced the song thusly, 'Someone I know wrote this song while shooting a movie in Paris during his divorce.'
He then tore through the number, an extremely thinly veiled account of his relationship with Uma, which included the lyrics 'My wife hates me' and 'My wife is a big fat beast'.
After baring his soul, Ethan mumbled that he 'was pretty upset at the time.' You think? It kind of sound like the wounds still haven't healed completely.
