Ousted 'American Idol' contestant David Hernandez enjoyed his last
taste of LA's nightlife before heading home to Arizona, dining at Mr.
Chow last night.
The former adult entertainer and current Arizona State University student, who delivered a less than stellar rendition of the Beatles' hit 'I Saw Her Standing There' says that his song selection, not his scandalous past, was to blame for his loss.
He claims he wanted to sing 'Let It Be', but that contestant Brooke White won the chance to sing it. But the Beatles have a jillion other songs - don't you remember Tiffany's god awful version of that song?
Whatever David's future plans are, watching the rest of the 'AI' season, or any reality TV for that matter, doesn't factor into them. He said, 'I'm probably going to watch reruns of 'Friends' or something.'
As for the revelations of his dirty dancing days, David told MTV, 'if this is the worst thing that people are going to say about me in my career, then it's OK.'
I think after, like the end of next week, no one's really going to say much about you, David.
David picked a good night to eat at Mr. Chow, especially if he wanted to do a little networking. Paris n' Benji, Christine Lakin, who effectively killed her career by co-starring in 'The Hottie and the Nottie' (I hope Paris picked up her check) and the legendary Stevie Wonder were also dining at the hot Asian eatery last night.
