In the offbeat, indie comedy, Zooey plays a woman who finds love with a mattress salesman, played by 'There Will Be Blood' star Paul Dano.
The eccentric Zooey strikes me as the kind of gal who would actually date a mattress store employee. She's got that 'nerd appeal.'
Her singing in 'Elf' wasn't merely a fluke - Zooey is in a band called She and Him. Their music has been called reminiscent of 60s girl groups and even the Andrews Sisters. Their debut album hits stores on March 18.
I would love to hang out with this girl. We could pop up some microwave kettle corn and watch bad movies together, while listening to Esquivel - or something like that.
