Amy Adams Gets Cooking

Amy Adams, who I can only hope is wearing a wig, is hard at work on the set of her latest film 'Julie and Julia', which is currently in production in New York.

The comedy is based on the true story of Julie Powell - played by Amy, who spent a year cooking all 524 recipes in Child's classic cookbook, 'Mastering the Art of French Cuisine,' and blogging about her experiences.

Meryl Streep plays the legendary chef, whose life in France in the 1940s and 1950s is also recreated for the film. 'The Devil Wears Prada' co-star Stanley Tucci plays her husband, Paul.

The film marks the second screen pairing of Meryl and Amy, they also recently completed the drama 'Doubt.' Fortunately for Amy, she was able to get the fawning over her co-star/idol out of her system long before the cameras rolled.

Amy told Variety, 'It was at a Vanity Fair Oscar party, about six months before I was cast in 'Doubt,' and I made a fool out of myself. I'm not starstruck often, and it's safe to say I was starstruck meeting Meryl Streep. Suddenly, I was a 12-year-old who wanted to let her know how much I liked her. Meryl handled it very graciously.'

At the rapid rate her star is rising, Amy's sure to be the fawned-over one sooner than she thinks.
