Actress Christina Ricci looked absolutely adorable on the red carpet at
the UK premiere of 'Speed Racer' at the Empire Theater in London's
Leicester Square.
The eagerly-awaited big screen adaptation of the 1960s-era cartoon, brought to you by the team who brought 'The Matrix' to life, directors Larry and Andy Wachowski opens in theaters on May 9. And they're already talking sequel.
Christina is ready to sign on for 'Speed Racer 2', but would probably prefer if one of her co-stars didn't. According to Pop Tarts, Christina had a run-in with the chimp who plays the mischievous Chim-Chim on the first day of shooting.
The actress said that, 'the chimp jumped over and grabbed my left breast and hung off me. It happened in the middle of the first take on the first day of shooting — it was painful.'
I can imagine. You may have hoped for a little off-screen romance with leading man Emile Hirsch, instead you got a little less-than-hot monkey love. Sorry, Christina.
'Speed Racer' co-stars John Goodman and Susan Sarandon, who play Emile's on-screen parents joined actor Sir Ian McKellen, 'S Club 7''s Tina Barrett and British personality Tamara Ecclestone on the red carpet. They're all in the gallery!
