Danica Patrick Meets the Old Boss

Indy driver Danica Patrick, who took the checkered flag in Sunday's Indy Japan 300 and became became the first woman ever to win an IndyCar event, stopped by 'The Late Show with David Letterman' last night.

Danica, up until recently, raced for Rahal Letterman Racing, so in essence, Dave was her boss. There were no sour grapes from the host, who presented her with a bouquet of roses and warmly congratulated her on her victory.

Dave asked Danica if she felt like a different driver after her first win, to which she replied, 'That burden is gone, and, you know, that monkey's off your back. And especially my long-awaited victory that I don't know how many times I was asked, 'So, when are you going to win your first race?'

And, just in case you were curious, Dave also asked the 26-year-old driver what she did with her long, dark locks during the race. She told him, 'I don't have a little scrunchie on my wrist because that really wouldn't look very nice with my outfit. But, yeah, I put it back, put my hair back and it goes underneath the suit. So it's a matted mess when I get done.'

Way to ask the hard-hitting questions, Dave.
