He's probably reacting to a question about his love life, which has been the subject of quite a bit of speculation as of late. First, he was speculatively linked to Cameron Diaz, and now 'Dancing with the Stars' hoofer Cheryl Burke is flapping her jaws about their romantic (or not) encounters.
Gerard needs a lady love who's not in the business. Someone who knows how important discretion is. Someone like...me, perhaps? I'm just saying.
R&B singer Mariah Carey, looking slightly more demure than she has in the past, was the center of attention on the red carpet at the premiere of her new movie 'Tennessee' at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York on Saturday night.

Mariah is the biggest name in 'Tennessee,' the movie that Janet Jackson claimed she was plumping up for, remember that? Carey plays a waitress/aspiring singer named Krystal who joins two men on a journey to find their estranged father and save their younger brother from leukemia.
The singer credits producer Lee Daniels for allowing her star to once again shine on the big screen. She said, 'It was cool for [him] to take a chance on me because obviously, you know, not everybody was going to do that.'
I can't believe that Hollywood learned nothing from 'Glitter.'
Orlando Bloom's love life isn't a secret anymore. The Pirates of the Caribbean hottie and his Victoria's Secret model girlfriend, Miranda Kerr, went public in Sydney yesterday for the AJC Australian Derby on Emirates Doncaster Day - Australia's equivalent of the Kentucky Derby.
The event was sponsored by Aussie department store David Jones, which earlier this week named Miranda as its new spokesperson.
Miranda and Orlando were dressed in their finest racing attire, reflecting the black and white theme of the event.
The relationship reached that meet-the-parents point for Orlando at a lunch on Friday. Miranda simply said, 'It was fun...[but] it wasn’t a big deal lunch.'
Orlando's luck keeps getting better - not only did he land a model (and apparently tight-lipped) girlfriend, he also won some cash on the ponies!
I can't imagine a more fun place to work than on the set of the Ricky Gervais-directed comedy 'This Side of the Truth,' which is currently in production in Boston.
It's already been the site of a huge Nerf dart battle and with Tina Fey, Louis CK, Jonah Hill and Rob Lowe...well maybe nor so much poor Rob right now...that's gotta be one funny set.
Even Jennifer Garner - who always struck me as someone who would be a lot of fun to hang out with - is in stitches. By the look on Ricky's face in this picture, he looks as if he may have just told a knee-slapper of a joke. He's got a million of them, you know.

Mischa Barton breezed quickly by photographers at last night's MTV Australia Awards at at the Australian Technology Park in Sydney.
The former 'O.C.' actress and member of the 'Celebrity DUI Club' was presenting a special movie award to Matt Damon during the show. When asked by the media who designed the black and white feathered coat she was wearing, she replied 'Willow.' I think she thought she was being asked what her favorite Ron Howard-directed movie was.
You're soon going to be seeing a lot more of Mischa. The actress is stripping down for her first nude scene in the drama 'Closing the Ring.'
Mischa states, 'I don't have a problem with nudity,' and goes on to say that her nude debut is 'not your average sex scene. The nudity is about her innocence. There is something tragic and heartbreaking about it.'
Baring it all on screen has nothing to do with 'innocence' for you, Mischa, I think it's all about 'career boosting' for you.

'Fashion-forward' Bai Ling was channeling a creature out of Star Wars as she showed up for JC Penney's Asian Excellence Awards last week, donning a scaly red gown, gold chest center-piece and that jet-black gelled hairdo.
The infamous klepto model/actress slithered up the red carpet, showed her fans some autograph love, and then headed to the after-party ... where she hopefully didn't accidentally bring a set of cocktail glasses home with her.

Ashlee Simpson continued to dodge the big pregnancy question yesterday when she appeared on TheEllen Degeneres Show.
'That is definitely something that I choose personally not to discuss,' Ashlee said of the rumors. She added, 'Do I look like I had 10 cheeseburgers or something, because I don't think I do!'

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is no stranger to celebrity relationships. In recent years he's reportedly gone deep with Carrie Underwood and Sophia Bush. But when he hooked up with Jessica Simpson in November 2007, Romo sailed triumphantly into the end zone of pop-culture prominence.
Of course, not everyone is happy with the pairing. Cowboys fans have accused Simpson of throwing Romo off his game. When the Cowboys lost to the New York Giants in the divisional playoffs last season after Romo was spotted at a Mexican resort with Simpson during the Wild Card game "bye" week, some Cowboys loyalists took to calling Jessica "Yoko Romo," in homage to Yoko Ono and her purported Beatles-ruining prowess.
And Tony probably gets tired of explaining to Jessica that, while his team is called the Cowboys, they don't actually ride around on horses and battle Native Americans.
But when Romo looks in the mirror in the morning and realizes that, at the end of the day, he's the guy who's dating one of America's biggest sex symbols, he surely utters a little "yee-haw" to himself.
