Janet Jackson was wearing a rather revealing top as she left LA's
Katsuya on Saturday night. The 'Feedback' singer had a reason for
celebration, as she was awarded with the Vanguard Award at the Gay and
Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation [GLAAD] Awards at LA's Kodak
Theater that evening.
Winning the award puts Janet into an elite club, which also includes Antonio Banderas, Whoopi Goldberg, Liza Minnelli and Charlize Theron. Upon receiving the award, Janet said, 'I love it. I never expected it in a million years so when I heard they wanted to honor me, I was really taken aback. It's just for the work that I've done with AIDS and acknowledging the gay and lesbian community through my music and so on. I'm just very appreciative.'
Janet confessed to E! Online that she approved of gay marriage, her girl crush was Alicia Keys and that she thought drag queens could even 'out Janet' her. As far as being labeled a gay icon, the singer said, 'I never thought of that or looked at myself in that way, but I'll wear the title. I'll own it.'
Own the title, work that look. You might as well while you can - before the drag queens steal it.
