Aussie songstress Kylie Minogue is making the publicity rounds to
promote the US release of her latest album, 'X'. In advance of her
Tuesday night appearance on 'Dancing with the Stars', the petite
39-year-old singer appeared on yesterday's 'Today' show
The 'Can't Get You Out of My Head' chanteuse is incredibly popular overseas, but fame continues to elude her in the land of Britney Spears and Mariah Carey. She's hoping 'X', which hit stores today, will make her a household name.
NBC's Matt Lauer seemed more keen about grilling Kylie about her love life than talking about the album and asked if the rumors about her getting back together with former philandering flame Oliver Martinez were true. Kylie told Matt she once dated him but emphatically denied that they were still an item, even borrowing a lyric from Amy Winehouse, 'no, no, no.'
Sorry, Ollie, you missed your chance. Here's hoping Kylie will be luckier in finding US success than she has been at finding love.
Also at NBC's New York studios yesterday was a confused-looking Dennis Quaid. Someone tell him he's not still playing the clueless President he portrayed in 'American Dreamz.'
