Mario Lopez is One Singular Sensation

Mario Lopez and his dancing feet attended a party for the cast of 'A Chrous Line' at the Red Pearl restaurant on Melrose Avenue in LA last night.

The actor best known as A.C. Slater on 'Saved by the Bell' has taken his act to the Great White Way, playing the role of Zach, the director, in the revival of the classic backstage musical. Mario made his debut in the show last Tuesday.

For those Mario fans who can't make it to the Big Apple, he and his 'Chorus Line' cronies will be performing on the May 6 episode of Dancing with the Stars, which also marks the show's 100th episode.

Mario said he had a lot in common with the character of Zach (who Michael Douglas played in the 1985 film adaptation of the musical), telling the New York Daily News that 'Zach is very focused. So am I.'

He told Extra he also took on the role for a much more believable reason, revealing that, 'everyone sings and dances except for the character I play....He doesn’t necessarily have to sing. I said, 'All right, that’s my guy!'
