With his ukulele strapped on his back and a porter
pushing his double bass, dreadlocked 'American Idol' reject Jason Castro touched
down at LAX yesterday, preparing for the upcoming 'Idol' finale and mandatory tour.
The easygoing singer is actually looking forward to the tour, telling Rolling Stone, 'They’re letting us have more input.' He added that each singer will get to sing three songs and is considering Gnarls Barkley's hit 'Crazy' - which he sung for his audition - and his ukulele rendition of 'Over the Rainbow.' A word of advice, don't pick 'Mr. Tambourine Man' for your third number.
After the tour, Jason plans to mellow out for a while and then begin work on a solo album. As far as the whole 'AI' expericnce, Jason says, 'I think what 'American Idol' does is let people know who you are. And now that people have heard who Jason Castro is, maybe they’ll take a listen. That’s all I want.'
I'm sure that's not all he wants. He may need some assistance in mellowing out.
