For the first time ever (I think), Sarah Jessica Parker is actually
wearing something most women in America could conceivably have in their
closet!
The actress donned an all-black ensemble for her interview on The Late Show with David Letterman, which aired last night to promote the release of the Sex and the City movie, which opens May 30th. I'm curious - am I the only woman in the country who has no interest in seeing this flick?
SJP could have gone the conservative route last night to take a break from the outlandish outfits she wore in the movie, designed by Patricia Field. In a recent interview, she admitted that the film's fashions are central to the plot.
Says Sarah, ‘The hits are enormous and the misses are comical. I’ve never said “no” to Pat. Even if something looks absurd to me, nothing is funnier than an absurd outfit at three or four in the morning after a 14-hour day on the set.’
I personally think nothing was funnier than that bizarre acorn hat she wore at the UK premiere. She actually defended the thing on Dave's show last night, telling him, 'It was a very beautiful hat and I was very proud to wear it…and no, I didn’t lose a bet.'
You can bet your Jimmy Choos that you won't see a chapeau like that in Sarah's latest round of fashions for her Bitten line at discount chain Steve and Barry's - which coincidentally hit stores in conjunction with the release of the film.
