Eva Mendes was all smiles as she left her New York City hotel Wednesday evening.
The recently-rehabbed actress was on her way to serve as celebrity
hostess for a party celebrating the launch of Calvin Klein's new
fragrance, Secret Obsessions.
The party was to be held in the same building where Heath Ledger died from an accidental overdose back in January.
Eva, who is the face of the new scent, was at the fiesta when it was shut down 'for security reasons.' According to New York magazine, the party was canceled because the building's proprietor didn't have the proper permits to throw a party in the residential building. The party was moved to nightclub Barolo.
The launch of this new scent has already encountered problems. A racy ad for the perfume featuring Eva was deemed too spicy for all three major networks, who refused to air it without 'modifications.'
