York City has finally laid the rumors of his retirement to rest.
Jay told Entertainment Weekly that he is working on a new album, titled 'Kingdom Come,' that will drop this fall. The disc features collaborations with Timbaland, Dr. Dre, Kayne West and Chris Martin.
Chris Martin? Yep, Mr. Gwyneth Paltrow. Jay said he met the Coldplay singer at a charity dinner and they 'just really kept in touch. He sent me these beautiful chords for this song called 'Beach Chair'. I had [Dr.] Dre put some drums on it. It's really, really incredible.'
In the interview, he said nothing about his marriage to Beyonce. I don't know why he's bothering to keep so tight-lipped about the whole thing. Be proud, Jay Z - if you were just some average Joe, you'd be running through the streets with a bullhorn if you were married to Beyonce. Sheesh.

"kingdom come" was released in november 2006...remember the single "show me what you got"? (the video featured indy race car driver danica patrick racing him in some pimped out sports car in monaco?) the same song was also used for a national beer campaign. the album also features "beach chair" and "minority report" which is a song dedicated to the hurricane katrina victims and jay-z's hate for pres. bush.
i'm afraid this story is almost 2 years old...or at least part of it.
Thank you! I had to read this twice because I thought I was missing something. He already came out of retirement two albums ago. He just finished a US Tour and is on his way to the UK. I thought I was missing something here.
