Steve-O Quit Drinking for the First Time Since Infancy

Steve-O is sober for the first time in his life.  

Literally!

According to the Jackass star, he was fed alcohol as a baby because his alcoholic mom couldn't think of any other way to shut him up.  He says in his myspace blog:

• 'We were frequently on airplanes and, before Mom and Dad would find themselves in the embarrassing position of being caught by other passengers with a crying baby, I was fed alcohol.'

Although Steve-O laid off the hard stuff for a few years after infancy, he was back at the bar by age 8, and remembers vomiting from drinking too much by age 12. 

Alas, ensued many many years of hitting the bottle, the bong, the crack pipe, the needle, and many public cameras.

But fear not, much like Tatum O'Neal, Steve-O has been reborn a new, sober man!  With 85 days of sobriety under belt, the 'former' jackass has 'found God,' pleaded guilty to his March cocaine charges, and sworn off drugs completely.

He even wrote a goodbye love letter to his favorite narcotics!

• 'At this point, All you fucking things are good for is dying. I’m not ready to die. I’m ready to live. I’m ready to breathe (properly, even). I’m ready to fall in love. I’m ready to become ready to start a family. I’m ready to be happy, fulfilled and meaningful. Maybe I’ll see you fukkers if and/or when I’m ready to die.'

Seriously though, the guy's had a rough life and I do wish him well.  But before we say goodbye to the old 'Steve-O', a little trip down memory lane...
