Elisabeth Hasselbeck vs. The N Word

By now Elisabeth Hasselbeck must have heard about that AOL poll which voted her the world's 'Worst Interviewer on Television,' but that didn't stop her from trying to wage peace on America's black community this morning.

Check out The View co-host making herself stand out as the sheltered white chick with no black friends besides Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd during her racial debate about the n word:

Elisabeth Hasselbeck reminds me of those girls in my freshman year dorm who used to get their panties in a bunch when I'd say stuff like 'I love you bitch.'  I had a hard time explaining to them it was my way of robbing the boys on the second floor of their misogynistic glory.  Of course, I eventually gave up and started saying shit like 'sweetie,' which lacked the same punch.  But at least it put a halt on those weekly hall meetings.

This N word stuff is out of my white feminist chick league, though.  What do you think??

Whoopi G. and Sherri S. perpetuate racial disparity and teach children in their
families that it's all right to use a word that is hateful and vile. It's hard to understand
why they think it's all right to continue something so awful that they don't have a
good explanation for (the fact that they take the power out of the hands of people
who use it in a derogatory way makes to sense whatsoever). We may grow up in
different cultures, live in different worlds but we don't have to continue using a word
that causes such pain to so many people. If we all want a better tomorrow and to try
to understand each other better, no matter our race, we have to do the right thing
and not come up with excuses that only one race says they understand.

Whoopi always acts like she is fair and so understanding but her views are so
skewed to her own personal activism that she has zero credibility. Sometimes
she sounds almost normal when she talks with reason, then she'll come along as
she did in discussing the N word and go totally off the chart defending her very
racist views. Ba Wa might want to tell Sherri to pack her bags--I think she forgot who
she was talking to (maybe she don't need to work).
