Alicia Silverstone was at the film premiere of Pineapple Express on Thursday, along with a bunch of other stars who weren't even in the movie. Because when naked PETA ads are the most publicity the actress is getting, how else is she going to keep Hollywood from forgetting about her?
Yup, Alicia's career pretty much tanked after Clueless. Some say it was because she got typecast. Some say it was cause she got fat. I say she got fat because she was typecast (depressed = food)...but hey, that's just one of those chicken-or-egg arguments.
Anyway, putting aside my eternal love for Cher Horowitz, I have to admit that Alicia's acting hasn't been stellar for the past decade.
But to be fair, when you're only offered roles in shit like Silence Becomes You and Beauty Shop, how good can your acting actually get??
Short of over-acting like Demi Moore in Charlie's Angels (and looking like a total fool), you're kind of SOL.
