Christina Applegate has had a tough year. Just last month, the star's ex-boyfriend Lee Grivas overdosed and last week, girlfriend lost both of her breasts due to that evil thing we call breast cancer.
The 36-year-old actress discovered a tumor in one breast earlier this year, but decided to have both breasts removed just to be on the safe side.
'I didn't want to go back to the doctors every four months for testing and squishing and everything,' she told Good Morning America, explaining that after seeing her mom struggle with breast cancer for two years, a bilateral mastectomy seemed like 'the most logical option.'
Parting with your breasts must feel, for a woman, something like having your balls removed, so you boys can only imagine how much it sucks.
But don't expect to see Christina moping anytime soon - girlfriend is falling back on her sense of humor to make it through tough times.
'I'm going to have cute boobs 'til I'm 90,' the Samantha Who? star joked of her plans to undergo reconstructive surgery. 'I'll have the best boobs in the nursing home. I'll be the envy of all the ladies around the bridge table.'
