Yesterday Michael Phelps won the first of probably eight gold medals to come at the 2008 Bejing Olympics. I say that like I'm joking, but those are actually the statistics. Because of the eight medals dude won in the '04 Olympics, only six of them were gold, and Mr. Phelps means business this time.
After killing it in yesterday's 400 meter medley, which he won after setting an Olympic record in the prelims, Mike set a world record in the 4x100 meter relay today and got a gold medal for that too.
So basically, this guy is amazing and you better get used to pictures of him holding gold medals, because that's pretty much going to be the theme of this year's swimming Olympic Games. Go U.S.A.
