Looking primped, plucked and maniucured, Britney Spears stepped out of her car for some shopping in New York city today. And then promptly stepped back in.
It's been a while since the recovering popwreck gave America's paparazzi a wild goose chase, so naturally Manhattan's media went nuts to hunt her down today. But this time, Brit wasn't giving them those million-dollar shots.

After watching this I kinda wonder how many paparazzi went broke after Britney's mom yanked Sam Lutfi out of the picture and Papa Spears put a stop to Brit Brit's daily Rite Aid trips last year. No wonder we're in the midst of economic crisis!
