Gossip Girl has been using some pretty racy methods to attract viewers for it's second season, which kicked off last Monday.
Whereas last year, the cast posed in that standard sitcom huddle, this year it's all lip-biting, chest-baring ads that say things like 'OMFG.'
There's even a little reverse psychology thrown into the mix by calling the show 'every parent's nightmare' and 'mind-blowingly appropriate.'
The manipulation is almost insulting, isn't it?
Except it's totally going to work. Cause if there's one thing I know about our sex-crazed culture, it's that we really don't give a damn if we're being manipulated....as long as we get to see pretty people naked.
Plus, that whole rebelling against our prude (we think) parents - that's fun too.
