Matilda Rose Ledger Is (Probably) a Very Rich Little Girl

Heath Ledger's $2 million inheritance was awarded to his daughter Matilda Rose this weekend, when the late actor's parents and sisters opted to 'give' her the money left to them in Heath's will (which was written prior to Matilda's birth).

The actor's will included cash of only $118,00, but an estate worth $16.3 million, according to Perth's Sunday Times

Of course, there were rumors that Michelle Williams was filing an inheritance claim, but alas she is not that cheap.

'There is no claim,' Heath's dad Kim told the Sunday Times.  'Our family has gifted everything to Matilda.'

Now before your heart gets too warm, note that Heath's insurers aren't feeling quite as generous.

Despite the Medical Examiner's ruling that Heath's death was 'accidental,' ReliaStar Insurance Agency claims that Heath's death was 'suspicious'...in other words 'suicide'....and therefore they don't need to honor Heath's $10 million life insurance policy.

In addition to claiming that Heath (like most people on the planet) lied to them about being on prescription pills or having done illegal drugs, ReliaStar will interrogate depose Mary-Kate Olsen, the masseuse who found his body, doctors, psychologists, agents, co-stars, and like everybody else Heath knew.

All this to discover if he's suicidal???

Just give the little girl her money!

Luckily, Princess Matilda clearly couldn't have looked more clueless about the money-grubbers when she brightened a drizzly New York City on Sunday .  Enjoy photos below...
