I've decided the mark of a true Hills 'celebrity' is whether or not she has her very own cling-on boytoy. Take Lauren Conrad, for instance. Her stardom skyrocketed around the time Brody Jenner came into the picture. Even though they're 'just friends' now, Brody will always be around. Next, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt. That one kind of speak for itself. And finally, Audrina Patridge's has 'boyfriend' Justin Bobby.
So what about the show's fourth leading lady, Whitney Port?
Despite sounding like the original valley girl when she first opens her mouth, Whit has proved to be the most grounded of the quartet - the smart, focused one (relatively speaking) - and certainly the most boy-coy.
But that last bit seems to be changing. The reality star was spotted lunching in Manhattan Wednesday with her NEW BOYFRIEND (!), Miranda Kerr's rocker ex, Jay Lyon.
Coincidentally (or not), Whitney's just recently been cast to star in her very own Hills spin-off called The City, which will undoubtedly chart her fashion exploits in the Big Apple.
See what I'm sayin'? The boys attract fame like a charm. Or rather, fame attracts publicity-hungry boys like flies.
Either way, I just hope Stephanie Pratt and Lo Bosworth stay single for a long time. I can't think of two more horrifying reality show concepts.
