Jessica Simpson's blond ambition hasn't done much to establish her as a serious film actress so far, but thanks to Russia, she can finally claim a dose of big screen fame.
The pseudo country singer's newest bubble gum flick, Major Movie Star, was released in Russia earlier this month, where it debuted at the top of the country's box office.
Next month, the film hits Bulgaria, but no release date has been set in the U.S. yet. Probably because movie-makers know that most Americans who value their nine bucks would rather buy lunch than risk hearing Jessica Simpson attempt to pronounce big words again.
But while the movie is still affecting audiences too cold to think straight, Jess appears to be loving her short-lived success. The starlet looked pleased with herself when she arrived a Macy's 150 Year Anniversary Cocktail party in NYC last night.
