Suprise, Madonna and Guy Ritchie Are Getting A Divorce

The inevitable has finally happened: Guy Ritchie and Madonna are divorcing.

After weeks of media speculation, several awkward public appearances, intensive Kabbalah courses (and hand-holding) that couldn't save them, and Madge's ongoing rendezvous with A-Rod, the spouses of 7 1/2 years are moving on.

According to Us Magazine, the split was initiated by Guy, who decided the marriage pretense 'had gone on long enough.'

  • 'This marriage was over a long time ago,' the source said.  'All her friends and family have known all along. They had to keep it under wraps and really tried to work things out. They tried for years, actually.  They thought their belief in Kabbalah could help, but it's unfortunately hard for Madonna to hold on to anybody in her life. Thank God she has the kids.'

Ah, the kids...yes.  That should give Madge and Guy something else to fight about!  The furry-faced mother wants to bring all three of the tots back to America with her - so Guy better get ready to whip out his frequent flyer card.

The couple have yet to reach a settlement, according to a statement released by Guy's rep.  But, lucky for the British film director, there is allegedly no pre-nup to protect Madonna's $500 million, so he'll prolly walk away with at least $100 million in his pocket.

Meanwhile, the show goes on for Madonna, who will be chugging champagne, dissing Sarah Palin, and molesting her dancers on stage for her Sticky and Sweet concert in Boston tonight. Work first!
