Gossip Girl twig Taylor Momsen was released from Cedars-Sinai hospital today after being treated for a 'severe, potentially
life-threatening throat infection' that was caused by sticking her fingers down her throat a bad cold.
'I have been treating Miss Taylor Momsen for the last few days,' Taylor's doc told Us Magazine. 'She has been an excellent patient, and after aggressive antibiotics and medications, she is expected to make a full recovery in the next three to five days.'
Problems began last Monday when the actress and would-be model flew into Los Angeles for a high school exam (oh yeah, school). But alas, Taylor's Monday morning 'sore throat' was not merely an attempt to play hooky.
'She thought it was just a common cold, but was advised to see an ear, nose & throat specialist before getting on a plane back to New York,' a friend of the 15-year-old told Us.
But luckily, Taylor is reportedly in 'unbelievable spirits', and has mommy and daddy at her side to provide comfort (and hopefully urge her toward fully digested meals...).
The star will fly back to NYC this week, so don't worry - you'll see her on the streets of Manhattan shooting Gossip Girl scenes in no time.
