Third Degree Burns Rekindle DJ AM and Mandy Moore Romance

Ah, the tragedy that bonds us.

A month after DJ A.M.'s nearly fatal plane crash, the survivor has rekindled things with singer/actress Mandy Moore, who he dated for two abridged months in 2007. 

'It's back on,' an insider tells Us Magazine.  'Since the accident, it's blossomed into something again.'

Blossoming, the loverbirds sure as hell were last Friday when they held hands and rubbed each others' backs at a Freedom House Event in Beverly Hills last Friday.

If Adam Goldstein appears to have a new light behind his eyes, that's not just the camera glare, according to a pal. 

'When you go through what Adam went through, you need people you love and people who love you. He will never stop loving her,' the friend told Us. 

Meanwhile, Mandy's camp says she's feeling the butterflies too.  The girl-next-door recently told a friend: 'I like this guy a lot and I want to see where it can go again. Life is too short to not be with someone you really care about.'

Spoken like a true hopeless hopeful romantic.
