Benji Madden is Back on the Market

Now don't all line up at once, ladies!

Benji Madden had a boys night out yesterday, following his split from Paris Hilton after 6 months of dating.

According to a Paris pal, the pair are 'still in love,' but 'felt it would be better to just be friends.' And why? 

'Benji was overprotective and controlling.  Friends thought Paris had changed since being with Benji and she wants to be herself again.'

Ah. Can I just say I totally called this? 

The source went on to say that even though Paris was hanging on out with her ex, Stavros Niarchos, in Miami over the weekend, she hasn't been spreading her STDS to anyone other than Benji.

'Nothing went on between Paris and Stav in Miami.  Benji really respected her.  They will be friends forever.' 

Or at least until Benji rebounds with Lindsay Lohan and Paris hooks up with Benji's best friends, right?
