Last week pretty much every online news source (including us) reported that Lipstick Jungle was getting canned, along with NBC's My Own Worst Enemy, but Brooke Shields is insisting that everyone is wrong.
She told reporters at Sunday's Cookie magazine Kidsfest in NYC:
Lipstick Jungle is basically number one?? Hmm. It's kind of a toss-up what's being more exaggerated here - the show's cancellation, or Brooke's self-importance. But hey, at least she believes in the success of the show, right?

- 'They're not breaking down the sets. We're still working. We still have more to do, so it's erroneously presented that we've been canceled, thank God.
- I mean, we're basically No. 1 if you look at DVR. And you look at all that. So the public is watching it.'
