Surprise smoker Salma Hayek was spotted lighting up outside a Neiman Marcus department store in L.A. on Friday, while her two-year-old daughter Valentina breathed in the smokey fumes nearby.

The actress' mother Diana Jiminez was also in tow to cuddle her grandaughter and participate in some of the post-Christmas holiday shopping. 

Guess Nicole and Joel weren't the only ones who got a late start on their Santa duties!

Here's Nicole Richie and Joel Madden cuddling - and bundling - up in Beverly Hills on Friday, as they squeeze in some post-Christmas present shopping. 

The pair hit up Marc Jacobs, bought new shades at the City of Angels Optical store, and shopped at a hat store on Melrose before grabbing lunch and finishing up their outing at American Rag Company. 

Then it was off to the car with gift bags and on home to wrap up and mail off.  Late gifts are better than no gifts!

The holidays are, by most accounts, the absolute best time to get away with eating exorbitant amounts of cookies, cake, cheese, and other junk foods without really feeling bad about it. 

But despite this get-fat-free pass, Matthew Perry was spotted carrying around some sort of health milkshake on Christmas Eve, during an errand in West Hollywood.

Just looking at that brown milkshake in his water bottle makes me feel nauseous...

Jessica Alba and Cash Warren celebrated Christmas Eve by bringing their new daughter Honor out to lunch at Toast in West Hollywood last week.

While Cash looked preppy in a sweater and jeans, Jess maintained the make-up free, bohemian look she's been cultivating since becoming a mommy - donning a sweater, scarf, leggings, hunky boots, and side braids.  Hmmm...has someone been watching The Hills and taking tips from Lauren Conrad??

Looking posh and wintry, Billy Zane dashed into a Beverly Hills Bristol Farms on Christmas Eve to stock up on last-minute party supplies. 

Apparently down to the wire, the actor rocked out to his ipod and zipped down the aisles, grabbing salmon, veggies, wine, and a month's worth of water (apparently on the lookout for a storm?) before racing a pal back to the car in his shopping cart.

It's only been four months since Billy split from Kelly Brook and was quickly replaced by a new guy, so it's nice to see that the newly single Bachelor won't be spending Christmas solo. 

I knew friends and family were good for something...

So much for the hopes that DJ AM's brush with death had rekindled his love for ex-girlfriend Mandy Moore...

The DJ was spotted holding hands with a new love as he dipped out the back door of Foxtail Lounge in West Hollywood last night. 

In other news, AM is following his buddy Travis Barker's lead by filing a hefty lawsuit in relation to the September crash. 

The lawsuit, which AM filed yesterday - claims that the pilots were aware of the tire blow-out before leaving the ground, and 'decided to abort and/or reject the takeoff in a negligent manner.'  As a result, AM is seeks damages from the two deceased pilots' estates in addition to all the plane-makers that Travis is already suing.

The holidays are a pretty sucky time to be dealing with this kind of stuff, but I guess someone's got to do it.
