Rather than throwing herself an extravagant party or jumping out of a cake, Katie Holmes celebrated her 30th birthday yesterday in the most awesome way ever: going to work.
But after the actress and daughter Suri Cruise trodded into the Gerald Schoenfeld Theater for another All My Sons performance, Tom Cruise threw in a special twist. Forced to send his birthday wishes across the country, Tom arranged for the entire Broadway cast to fill in for him.
'I set up whole thing,' he told Us Weekly at the L.A. premiere of Valkyrie on Wednesday. 'The cast came out with a huge cake. The audience sang "Happy Birthday" to her. It was really nice. You know, I plan it out. I think ahead.'
Tom finished up his 'me, me, me' interview by discussing how TomKat plans to spend the Christmas holiday - and borrowing slang from his new buddy Spencer Pratt. 'We're just gonna chill,' he said.
