Marisa Tomei Bundles Up after Stripping Down

Here's Marisa Tomei looking appropriately bohemian as she strolls L.A.'s artsy neighborhood of Venice yesterday, all bundled up in a big ugly cozy gray sweater.  

The Oscar-winning actress careened back onto Hollywood's radar last week when she received a Golden Globe nomination for The Wrestler, in which she plays a stripper.

Marisa will be duking it out with Jessica Biel for the 'hot stripper chick' throne this year, but not surprisingly, Jessica didn't make it into the Golden Globe race. 

Unlike the clean-and-covered-up stripper Justin's girlfriend plays in her craptasticaly cliche flick Powder Blue, Marisa actually did some research to make her pole-thrusting half believable.  She tells reporters:

'I had a friend who is a yoga teacher and she does a lot of pole dancing so I asked her to teach me. I went to a lot of clubs and watched to see the different styles of dancing.  I would practice in a dance room with a bar and a mirror, like a ballet studio.  I watched Rock of Love, that reality show with Bret Michaels, where he's trying to get a wife and they're all strippers. That was my closest association to the actual world of it.'

So I guess there is a point to that show besides providing endless amusement and garnering Bret Michaels insane amounts of ass.  It's educational!
