Pete Wentz is no Baby Pimp

Here's Pete Wentz on Melrose yesterday, picking up some designer clothes for his newborn son Bronx Mowgli.   

You can bet that the little guy will be dressed in style after Santa's visit, but nonetheless, Pete and Ashlee have made a firm and classy decision not to profit off his birth. 

Word spread this week that the new parents were desperately shopping Mogwai's mug to magazines - and getting no takers.  Of course, this sounded about as likely as Governor Rod Blagojevich's innocence.  And, alas, it was.  Pete cleared things up on his blog today:

'Truth is like every celeb couple we were offered mounds and mounds of money by mags from here to Guam to pimp out the baby. We just don't want to go down that road with him.'

But, despite his superior morals, Pete made sure to avoid being smug and condescending:

'We are not placing judgment on those that do as they often use the money in a very charitable way.'

Yeah, yeah, yeah.  You aren't judging your baby-photo-whoring peers, we get it.  Anywayyyyz, Pete DID admit that obviously we'll be meeting Bronx - sooner or later. 

'We know there will be a time when we'll share him with everyone because that insatiable curiousity becomes unsafe or simply because we're proud parents who want to show him off!'

Ding ding ding!  There's the money.  But when?
