Following the protective lead of hubby Joel Madden, Nicole Richie showed her first signs of a baby bump last night, just two days after Joel announced the pregnancy on his blog.
The couple were heading to an Oscar after party in the Hollywood Hills when they were spotted holding hands like the affectionate parents that they are.
Other guests at the party included DJ AM, Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Jerry Ferrera, Peter and Portia Fonda, demure Ryan Phillipe, and scary-green-eyed Tila Tequila.
But even though Nicole broke out the liquid eyeliner, her yellow sundress looked tame in contrast with her old party pal Paris Hilton's plunging neckline and cut-out black gown.
Earlier in the night, however, Paris did manage to wear aless trashy more elegant piece, when she showed up to Leeza Gibbons' Oscar Party at Mr. Chow in a sparkly champagne number.
She certainly looked more put together than Janice Dickinson and Suzanne Somers, who demonstrated the negative side effects of too many collagen injections and tanning booths, respectively.
