President Barack Obama became the second American president ever to appear - in the flesh - on late night TV (the first was Bill Clinton) last night when he hit up The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Acting diplomatic yet lighthearted, the prez discussed the AIG bonus scandal, the economy, and how his life has changed since the election. He even cracked a couple jokes, one of which kind of backfired. Obama compared his amateur bowling skills to the Special Olympics - whoops! A couple hours (and some media outrage) later, the Special Olympics chairman announced that Obama had called and apologized in a 'sincere and heartfelt' way.
Slip-ups aside, the Leno interview definitely attested to the President's charisma and levelheadedness. Watch below:
