A New York pooch complete with its own stroller is
pushed around Manhattan by its elderly orange haired owner. According
to a report in the New York Daily News, New York City has an estimated
one to one and a half million dogs, putting its dog population ahead of
the human population of all but the five or ten largest cities in the
country. To top that off, New York has more than a hundred doggie day
care center, which cost around $700 a month. As if that were enough,
Manhattan itself has a 24-hour dog emergency hospital that even has
on-call oncologists, surgeons, and even dermatologists that are
available on-call. Interesting!
