Marcia Cross hasn't been "desperate" to squeeze any time in at the gym lately, with the writers' strike still ongoing, she's got all the time in the world to workout. The scarlet-tressed actress was spotted leaving a gym in Brentwood, California after an hour-long exercise session. "Superman Returns" - to the mall! Brandon Routh, looking way more like Clark Kent than the Man of Steel, escorted his new wife Courtney Ford to the Westfield Mall in Century City for dinner and a bit of shopping. The couple, who were married in November, dined at the Gulfstream restaurant and picked up a few things during their outing. I hope Brandon's just wearing a puffy jacket - or else he's really going to need to tighten up and get buff before the "Superman" sequel starts shooting in March!

"Private Practice" star Kate Walsh left the exclusive Chris McMillan hair salon in Beverly Hills after some follicular pampering yesterday, en route to a photo shoot in Santa Monica. Kate left the salon with wet hair, which I do at the Hair Cuttery because I can dry my own damn hair...gee, I have something in common with a star! Wet hair or not, Kate still is one class act. She's always looking good - here in a gray sweater and jeans, topped with a cute, cropped jacket. Wish I had that in common with her!

Nicky Hilton seems to have taken a page out of the "Lindsay Lohan Young Starlet Guide" and has been spotted in public lately wearing lots of black. Here the fashion designing heiress dons a baggy top, skinny leg pants and even flip flops in her new favorite hue as she heads to Barney's New York to do a little shopping. Of course, no black ensemble would be complete without a black bag and star-sized shades! Maybe all the dark attire means she's in mourning that she can only window shop at the chi-chi store, since getting cut out of the family fortune!

"Two and a Half Men" star Jon Cryer - I wonder if he gets mad if you call him "Duckie" - and his lovely wife, LA-area Entertainment Reporter Lisa Joyner, were spotted exiting LA's most popular sushi restaurant, Katsuya, last night. The newlyweds, who were married in Mexico this past July, were casually dressed for dinner and were happy to smile for the cameras as they waited for their car at the valet station.
