Sounds like Nadine Coyle has a softspot the hotheads.

The 'Girls Aloud' singer previously dated infamous bar brawler Jesse Metcafle and her new man, Jason Bell, is no better. 

The former UCLA football stud seems like an all-American gentleman on the surface, but homeboy's history suggests otherwise. 

According to The Daily Mail, Jason's shady past spans two assault lawsuits - one with a former teammate and the other a barfly - and a downright dirty divorce.  In fact, Jason's ex alleges that he filed for divorce three weeks after he hooked up with Nadine and is now shiesting her on spousal support. 

But, all looked peaceful last night when the footballer treated Nadine and her sister Rachael to a swanky dinner at STK Restaurant.  Wonder if he'll be treating her this well a year from now?

The problem with carrying around an extra 50 pounds of muscle is that the second you stop neurotically exercising, that muscle goes soft and... you end up looking like former Olympic medalist Ian Thorpe. 

The freestyle Aussie swimmer, who was once nicknamed 'Thorpedo' and won five Olympic medals, was spotted casually kayaking around Sydney today looking a little self-conscious in his newly insulated skin.

Mary-Lynn Rajskub is no Victoria Beckham. 

The 24 star touched down in New York on Monday sans makeup, heels, pricey purses, catsuits, or even patent leather (shocking, I know).  In fact, the actress was so unconcerned about her appearance that she even wore a pajama top sweatshirt with little panda bears all over it.  Now that's high fashion!

Following suit was Mary-Lynn's actor boyfriend Matthew Rolph, beanie-clad Kevin Bacon, former football stud Joe Montana, That 70s Show's Kurtwood Smith, and victorious 30 Rock star Jack McBrayer. 

Anyone else flying back from the SAG Awards that we should know about?!

Yesterday was  'Australia Day', an annual holiday which folks down under celebrate with fireworks, parades, boat racing, music festivals, and - in Isla Fisher's case - an extra tall Mocha. 

Wearing a cute cardigan and scarf to match her blue shades, the Wedding Crashers actress was spotted picking up the hot beverage in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon. 

Though she is actually Scottish, Isla owes her burgeoning career to  Australian TV, where she got her start on local soaps  So...do you suppose she was sipping her coffee in celebration or oblivion? 

Guess we'll never know!

Hence her new MTV reality show!  And the onslaught of behind-the-scenes photos you'll be seeing of the New York native doing things like toasting to success or, in yesterday's case, working out with a personal trainer. 

And what better man for the job than Danny Musico, the official 'trainer to the stars'?  The two met at a Beverly Hills gym yesterday for the boxing, weight lifting, and ab work on one of those funky exercise balls.

With all the flak I give Katherine Heigl for smoking, it's only fair to give her props when she uses her celebrity stardom in a positive way. 

So folks, lets give the Knocked Up actress a round of applause for yesterday's good deed - if for no other reason than that puppies are adorable and looking at pictures of them is fun.

Dressed in a cute cardigan set and casual jeans, the dog lover and her mom paid a visit to the L.A. Department of Animal Care & Control with the goal to promote awareness about pet adoption. 

I was a little skeptical about the sincerity of Katherine's animal efforts when we spotted her at another shelter last year, but now I'm sold on her charitable side.  And let me tell ya, after a long look at this little guy, I'm almost sold on puppy adoption too.

Is it just me, or are Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman beginning to smack of complacent old folk?  Though the parents still manage to get out every so often, their nightlife routine seems to center around about two restaurants and furniture shopping. 

Last night, the spouses went out for their bi-weekly visit to Osteria Mozza.  And, like last time, Christina sported red lipstick, a baggy shirt, and a beanie - except yesterday, the beanie was red instead of blue.  How very daring of her!

But even Xtina couldn't top Jordan's lack of originality.  Dude wore literally the same gray pants and suede brown coat we spotted him in a few weeks ago. But can you blame him?  Those pants are a must-have (if it were 1993). 

Not that I'm hating on family life.  I'd imagine that waking up to the smell of baby poo kind of takes the thrill out of being trendy.  Besides, Xtina's outfit could be much worse.
